Notes From The Studio
A Little Quiet, A Little Bold
This body of work surprised me—in the best way!
It sort of flew out of me, like it had been waiting patiently for the right moment to land. Some parts came together effortlessly; others put up more of a fight. (There may have been snacks. And mild swearing.)
This morning, I was sitting on my friend’s couch when she said something that stuck with me:
“Your work feels different lately, she said. Like you’ve found your flow.”
That meant a lot coming from her. She’s someone whose words carry weight. I left her house feeling grateful—and maybe a little giddy.
This new collection feels right.
It says what I’ve been wanting to say, without saying too much. It’s a little quiet. A little bold. Just like spring, really.
The series is a celebration of those first brave signs of spring—the ones that peek through when we’re still wearing sweaters and pretending we don’t care about the weather. And it’s a love letter to one of my favorite flowers. There’s a softness to it, sure, but also strength. That combination has always touched me.
The collection launches tomorrow, May 1, at 10 am.
All the images were
beautifully captured by the ever-talented Blake Shorter.
I can’t wait to share this with you. Truly.
