Notes From the Studio
Introducing: 'What's on the Studio Table'
I’m excited to introduce a new recurring series called ‘What’s on the Studio Table’, a place to share the things filling the studio and my mind lately. Sometimes it might be on the table: paint-covered brushes, fabric swatches, flowers, or sketches. Other times, it’s the more intangible things I’m drawn to: a new ritual, a recipe, a place, a book, a color palette, a hobby, a piece of music, something inspiring a shift in season or perspective. A quiet collection of what’s shaping life in and around the studio. Let’s jump in.
I’m heading to Pawley’s Island for Memorial Day with friends and family, so this week’s studio table feels a little more like the contents of an overpacked beach bag. Here is a mix of things I’m bringing along, wearing lately, and excited to share over the long weekend.
I’ve been loving these new sunnies from Jimmy Fairly. I just recently discovered the brand and am obsessed. We passed them around at lunch the other day, and they looked great on everyone.
I just ordered this to help make cherry syrup. Adding it to lemonade or spooning it over yogurt with pistachios, it just feels like the kind of thing I want in the fridge all summer. I am excited to bring some along to share with friends this weekend.
We visited my family over Mother’s Day weekend, and my mom was wearing these fun balloon pants. I immediately added the ‘On the pulse’ and ‘Momentum’ to my cart. They feel perfect for a relaxed weekend away. Easy and comfortable, yet still pulled together.
I’m currently reading Theo of Golden, which my mom highly recommended, so I’ll throw that in the bag as well.
My go-to summer look is an easy throw-on dress with shoes. Here are a few that I have ordered lately. The Vespa Natural, the Vespa Espresso, and the Marceau Loafers. Perfect for any occasion.
